POM² conduct a campaign “Remove the Landmines with Stickers”.
We want to free all the landmines from Thailand and turn them into a safe and peaceful land. We support the local NGO by donating our profits from the sticker sales.
POM²’s Donation System
1. Buy stickers for 300 yen.

One sticker is 300 yen.
You can also buy stickers at events that POM² participate besides online.
Please check “BUY A STICKER” (Japanese) for further details.
2. We donate our profits to the demining agency

We support the local NGO demining agency PRO (Peace Road Organization) by donating our profits from the sticker sales.
What is PRO?
PRO (Peace Road Organization) is Thai’s local NGO (non-governmental organization) demining agency. After April 2007, we have been donating our profits to PRO.
Right now, out of the 300 yen, 200 yen is given to PRO as a donation, and the other 100 yen is used for the printing cost and operation of POM².
3. From one sticker, 2m² of the minefield will be cleared

In order to clean up 1m², 100 yen is needed.
When one sticker is bought, it means that 2m² of the minefield is turned into a safe land.
*The cost to remove 1m² of the landmines may vary by the change in environment or by the shape of the land, but we campaign it as 100 yen per 100m² for reasons of expediency. We will report the actual cost of the mine clearing operation at the end of each project.
* If the cost of the mine clearing operation changed significantly, we might change the price of the sticker or the area that correspond.
4. Check where you “cleared the landmines” on the “The Map of Landmines”

“The map of Landmines” (Japanese) is a system that lets us know where we actually removed the landmines, on the map of Thailand.
The different numbers are indicated on each sticker. We divide the demining area into squares so that each 2m² correspond to that number.
This is our slogan. POM² was named after this phrase. Our goal is to make a new relationship between people in Japan and the problem of landmines.
What is POM²?
POM² is a student organization. We sell sticker to support remove the landmines under the slogan of “The Problem Of Mines is the Problem Of Mine.” It first started from a group formed in one of the classes at Keio University Shonan Fujisawa Campus in 2003. Right now we work under the nonprofit organization (NPO) called Socio Project bureau (Japanese).
* “Remove the landmines with stickers campaign” is the activity of POM² and it is an independent activity from PRO (Peace Road Organization).
